helga maria greaves passed away on the 18th may 2000 aged 59 yrs.Helga lived in Hull and worked as a shop assistant until she started her family in 1961.Her first born,Michael, died aged 3 months. My mam went on to have four more children,Karen,Shelley ,Mark and Julie.Helga was married to my dad,Alan for nearly 40 years until tragedy struck and she was misdiagnosed at the Hull royal infirmary leading to her untimely death. The whole family miss her terribly and hope that by suing the hospital we may have prevented another family going through so much sorrow. My mam was a very quiet lady who was happy with her life, seeing all her family daily and babysitting her seven grandchildren. She was not only my mam she was my best friend who i miss each and every day.If there is such a place as heaven i hope thats where she is with all her loved ones. xxxx
I have sent you this poem as it means a lot to me .I was given it after the death of my Grandad.
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other
That we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
We enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me,
Let my name be ever the household word that
It always was.
Let it be spoken without effort,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolutely unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am
Out of sight? I am but waiting for you
For an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner .
All is well.
